Vineyard Tour and Wine Tasting

Orchard Tour and Cider Tasting
Harry's Cider Company - This beautiful cider farm is located just 200m up the road from Little Upton Luxury Breaks. They have been producing their own cider for a number of years and offer a large range of award-winning ciders.
Book your tour of the orchards and walk back to the cider house to watch a demonstration of the cider-making process, followed by a cider tasting. Harry's cider farm also has an on-site cider shop, giving you the opportunity to purchase some to take away with you.

Golf
Long Sutton Golf Club - This established and challenging 18-hole golf course is set on 130 acres, and is 6,352 yards in length. It is a par 71 course for men and par 72 for ladies. The course is located in the village and within walking distance, however, the country lanes are narrow and have very few footpaths, so we would advise driving to the course.

Fishing
Viaduct Fisheries - This is one of the most natural and beautiful fisheries in the country, nestled in the Cary valley. They have six well-stocked lakes and an on-site tackle shop.
No booking is required as the lakes are open every day. However, you will need to purchase your ticket on arrival from the tackle shop. All juniors must be accompanied by an adult. Rods are available to hire.

Somerset Birdwatching
Somerset has always been a haven for birds. Few places offer such a diversity of birding hotspots: from the Avalon Marshes to the Mendip hills and Somerset's wild coastline. They will show you the hidden secrets of Somerset's birdlife, whether you are experienced or just starting out.
Their packages offer a day full of fun visiting serveral top bird reserves on the coast and in the avalon marshes. They take you on a walk through a mixture of different habitats to try and maximise the variety of birds you may see. Going at a slow and steady pace with expert tuition throughout.
While most of their bird walks will be on good paths, sometimes we will go ‘off-piste’ or go through wet grass, so please bring suitable footwear (hiking boots or wellies). Wet weather gear is recommended – a waterproof jacket and over-trousers. It is unlikely that any one single walk would be more than a couple of miles. Please bring your own binoculars (8x32 are ideal) we have some spare pairs however please advise if you require use of these.

Pottery
Pottery Painting At the Kiln Cafe - Whether you'd to have a go on the pottery wheel or test your artistic skills by doing some pottery painting; there is something for the whole family.
Enjoy 90 minutes of creative fun painting on of their many peices of pottery and let you imagination run wild. Booking deposit of £2 per person taken apon booking (minimum 2 people) which will be deducted from your final bill. There are a huge selection of pieces of pottery you choose to paint from mugs and plates to ornaments and trinkets which range in price to suit all budgets.
They also offer a small but delicious range of pastries and cold snacks, along with coffee ands other hot and cold drinks for you to enjoy whilst painting.

Becci is passionate about this messy stuff, and loves sharing her skills and knowledge, and offers a variety of sessions to suit your individual needs - whether that be a one or two hour sessions, or a half day or full day with a delicious lunch included. Somerton Tennis Courts - Somerton Tennis Club offers its courts for public hire.
The courts are available at 24 hours notice at a cost of £6.00 per hour per court, or £15.00 with floodlights. The courts are available at the following times: Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:30. Times are subject to change and other times may be available on request.

Hot Air Ballooning
Fly Away Ballooning offer a unique experience to view the landscape from a different perspective. You can see in 360 degrees for miles on end, and your flight feels absolutely uninhibited and free. As the landscape shrinks into miniature, a model world appears below.
On arrival you will have the opportunity to help assemble the balloon and lay it out ready for the cold inflation. You will see your balloon take shape before your pilot will take to the controls as hot air is pumped into the balloon and it rises standing at some 90ft tall.
As you drift along at the same speed as the wind it is quite common to see an array of wildlife – from deer skipping through the tall crops to birds of prey swooping from the trees. As the balloon ascends to higher altitudes, the rolling hills that surround you transform into a flat green canvas below your feet which stretches out to the horizon and meets the sea.

Childrens Soft Play
Looking for somewhere for the children to burn off that extra energy while you sit back and enjoy a cuppa then safari tots in Somerton is the place to go.
Safari tots is a safe and fun children's soft play centre; with plenty to entertain the children aged 10 and under. There is lots for the little ones to explore in the two tier play frame; with cargo nets and rope swings to a ball pit and slides. There is also a separate area specifically design for babies and toddlers.
They have a lovely little café which serve hot drinks and homemade cakes; along with a variety of snacks. They also offer a lunch menu consisting of sandwiches, toasted sandwiches and paninis between 12-2pm.

Langport's Community Boat
The Duchess of Cocklemoor operates regularly from Spring to Autumn. Enjoy a unique view of the Somerset Levels, an area rich in history and legend. Look out for wildlife including Otters and Kingfishers, Herons, and the famous Somerset Cranes, which can often be seen flying along the River Parrett.
Book in advance - 12 passengers per trip, or call to book exclusive private trips (max 12 passengers). Times, length of journey, and destination can all be tailored to your requirements.

Stoke Wood Alpacas
Alpaca walking experience - The alpaca experience lasts around 2 hours or so and includes:
- A talk about alpacas, their history etc.
- A visit to see our alpacas and feed them; help to catch alpacas for haltering.
- A walk around our land with an alpaca, up to 8 alpacas at a time.
- Tea/coffee/cold drinks and cakes to finish.
- Wear sensible shoes with enclosed toes as alpacas have sharp nails.
The experience is suitable for everyone. Adults - £20, 7-14years old -£15 and children under 7 years old are free of charge however must be accompanied by an adult.

Somerset Sheep Trekking
On their sheep trek you will arrive at the farm, meet our lovely sheep, and be matched with your buddy for the trek. They will then spend a short time ensuring you are happy and confident walking your new friend around an enclosed field, bonding with them and giving them a snack.
Each sheep has it's own quirky personality, and range from being really calm and relaxed, to being cheeky and mischievous. Once matched and both sheep and human are happy, we will set off on a trek around our beautiful 100 acre farm leading your sheep. The walk is sheep paced (slow and steady) and goes across farmland and through the edge of some woodland.
There is the option to finish your trek by relaxing with a delicious homemade cream tea with fantastic views over the farm (pre order only).
The experience total is approximately 1.5hrs and a reasonable level of walking ability is required.
